West Brom Building Society has engaged Deloitte and core banking provider 10x to spearhead a significant digital transformation initiative.
As the eighth-largest building society in the UK, West Brom has chosen 10x’s cloud-based core banking system to create customized products using various pre-built modules. This approach aims to simplify operations while minimizing costs and risks.
Additionally, the organization will implement Converge by Deloitte, a composable accelerator that enables financial institutions to rapidly introduce new digital capabilities.
The multi-phase project will focus on enhancing West Brom’s digital savings offerings, transitioning existing accounts to the Converge platform alongside 10x, and maximizing value within its mortgage portfolio.
Jonathan Westhoff, CEO of West Brom Building Society, stated, “We selected Deloitte and 10x because they genuinely understand our priorities as a mutual organization—our customers. Collaborating on this initiative represents an exciting advancement in developing the digital services and technologies we envision for our future.”
Founded by former Barclays CEO Antony Jenkins, 10x is currently exploring potential sale opportunities.
