Volt, a real-time payments platform, has partnered with sustainability fintech ekko to enable retailers and their customers to contribute to the removal of plastic bottles from the ocean.
During the checkout process, consumers have the opportunity to remove a plastic bottle from the ocean by choosing Volt as their payment method. A live counter is displayed, showing the number of bottles eliminated in real-time. This counter updates with each completed transaction, showcasing the immediate environmental impact of their purchase.
Jordan Lawrence, Chief Growth Officer of Volt, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “The integration of real-time payments with environmental initiatives creates a perfect synergy. I’m excited for Volt users to see the tangible difference they are making for our planet.”
Oli Cook, CEO of ekko, remarked, “Partnering with Volt enables us to broaden our offering and reach customers globally. This collaboration enhances our ability to support environmental causes by leveraging our real-time tracking capabilities in payments around the world.”
