This innovative payment solution is powered by Flexa, a company that specializes in developing commerce tools that facilitate cryptocurrency acceptance for businesses ranging from small enterprises to large retailers.
To celebrate this new offering, Regal is providing American moviegoers with a 10% discount on tickets and concessions when they make in-person payments using USDC on the Base platform, a cost-effective Layer 2 solution built on Ethereum.
Ashlyn Turner, Regal’s marketing and sales manager, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, “We’re excited to integrate onchain payments into a cherished American entertainment tradition. This presents an excellent opportunity for crypto enthusiasts to use digital currency for a fun night out at a reduced price. Moreover, for those new to cryptocurrency, the discount at Regal serves as an introduction to the advantages of onchain transactions.”
The promotional offer will be available for a limited time, running from December 23, 2024, to January 6, 2025. Customers can enjoy a maximum discount of $50 per transaction, applicable to a total of 50 eligible transactions per Flexa account, excluding gift card purchases.
