UOB Tests Microsoft 365 Copilot Generative AI Tool

Singapore-based bank UOB is preparing to pilot Microsoft 365 Copilot, an innovative generative AI productivity tool, with several hundred of its employees.

Starting this month, 300 employees across various departments, including branches, customer service, and technology operations, will gradually gain access to the tool over the next year.

Launched earlier this year, Microsoft 365 Copilot harnesses the capabilities of large language models integrated with business data from calendars, emails, chats, documents, and Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. This synergy transforms conventional workflows into a powerful, AI-driven productivity experience.

UOB anticipates that this technology will enhance productivity, facilitate easier access to relevant information, and foster collaboration among team members.

“In addition to driving productivity, we aim for this tool to ignite creativity and inspire innovation among our employees, ultimately enriching our customers’ banking experience,” stated Lawrence Goh, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Group Infrastructure Platform Services at UOB.
