TP Icap has announced a significant partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) aimed at modernizing and expanding the brokerage’s technology infrastructure.
This collaboration will see 45 AWS Professional Services engineers teaming up with TP Icap’s technology teams to co-develop the firm’s flagship client-lifecycle platform, Fusion. By leveraging data analytics and generative AI, the partnership seeks to reduce new product development times by more than half, increase scalability, and nearly double TP Icap’s IT workload on the AWS Cloud to over 80%.
Furthermore, TP Icap and AWS plan to explore innovative, sustainability-focused trading solutions and assist Amazon’s suppliers in establishing their decarbonization plans.
AWS will also support TP Icap in setting up an AI and Innovation Lab to expedite the development and scaling of AI-driven solutions. This initiative will build on TP Icap’s previous successes, such as automating regulatory governance reviews using Amazon Bedrock and creating a chatbot aimed at automating client engagement analysis and generating actionable insights.
Tanuja Randery, VP & Managing Director at AWS EMEA, stated: “TP Icap’s ‘All in on Cloud’ strategy targets migrating over 80% of its technology infrastructure to AWS by the end of 2026. This transition will reduce dependence on physical data centers and legacy systems, yielding millions in annual savings and lowering carbon emissions. Additionally, the AI and Innovation Lab will help equip TP Icap’s workforce with the skills needed to develop advanced AI-driven solutions.”
Nicolas Breteau, Group CEO of TP ICAP, remarked: “This partnership will enable us to develop new functionalities more rapidly to enhance our electronic platform, Fusion. By empowering our teams with AI expertise and tools, we will improve our capacity to innovate, execute at scale, and better serve our clients.”
