Tintra Establishes Foundation to Support and Safeguard Hunter-Gatherer Communities

Tintra, a fintech company, has announced the establishment of a charity foundation dedicated to safeguarding the world’s last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes. To kickstart this initiative, Tintra has pledged an initial $2 million to support the cause.

This charity aligns with Tintra’s broader mission to create equitable opportunities between emerging markets and advanced economies. The firm aims to democratize financial regulation and assist financial institutions, multinational corporations, and large enterprises in these regions in accessing banking systems that are sensitive to their geographical contexts.

Richard Shearer, CEO of Tintra, expressed, “In recent months, we have been focused on transforming the global banking landscape, striving to make market access as seamless in Africa and Asia as it is in Europe and the United States. However, we also acknowledge that while many in these regions seek the connectivity that Western markets enjoy, they are also home to the world’s last hunter-gatherer tribes, who desire to preserve their distinctive, traditional ways of life.”

These tribes face the threat of extinction, risking the loss of vital ties to our shared human history. The Tintra Foundation is committed to providing funding and resources to understand, support, and raise awareness about these communities and their unique lifestyles, emphasizing the lessons in sustainable living they offer, which may be crucial for our own future.

The launch of the Tintra Foundation follows the company’s recent collaboration with TMC2, an artificial intelligence and machine learning firm, aimed at modernizing compliance processes across developed and emerging market economies.

Further announcements regarding additional board members for the Tintra Foundation are expected in early 2022.
