Sustainable Finance Live, a series of engaging workshops organized by Finextra Research and Responsible Risk, is transitioning to a virtual format in light of the ongoing challenges posed by the Coronavirus pandemic.
As large gatherings are currently impractical, the second workshop of Sustainable Finance Live will embrace a digital approach using Microsoft Teams. This shift allows participants to engage in co-creation and collaboration in a virtual environment.
Set to take place over two days, on June 2nd and 3rd, this workshop aims to explore the design, development, and reporting of sustainable finance products within investment and asset management. The event will mirror the structure of the inaugural workshop held in December 2019, but in a more flexible online format.
Utilizing Microsoft Teams’ features, such as virtual breakout rooms, the event will enhance networking opportunities and facilitate interviews, successfully translating the essence of an in-person industry event to a remote setting.
The first day will commence with keynote presentations from industry leaders. Notably, Keith McGrane, founder of Corre Energy, will share insights on the necessary investments for companies developing energy storage solutions for both retail and wholesale markets. He will be joined by Maya Hennerkes from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Elena Philipova from Refinitiv, culminating in a panel discussion to conclude Day One.
Day Two will feature a selection of concurrent workshops, allowing attendees to choose the sessions that best align with their interests. Topics will include green energy storage, constructing impact investment portfolios, and data management in ESG portfolio construction. These sessions will be led by recognized experts, including Sustainable Finance Live board members Richard Conway of Elastacloud and Adrian Sargent of Virgin Money.
