Strands and Doconomy Collaborate to Deliver Climate Impact PFM Tools

Mastercard-supported carbon tracking application Doconomy is joining forces with fintech software developer Strands to deliver innovative products focused on climate impact and personal finance management.

The objective of this collaboration is to empower consumers with knowledge about how their everyday choices affect climate change, thereby facilitating a transition towards more sustainable lifestyles.

Doconomy’s CEO, Mathias Wikström, emphasized the importance of informed and dedicated individuals in addressing the climate crisis. “To enact real change, we all need to embody the change we wish to see,” he stated. “Partnering with Strands enables Doconomy and our clients to significantly advance the global movement toward sustainability.”

Erik Brieva, CEO of Strands, noted that this partnership is a logical progression for their company. “Our commitment to combating climate change aligns perfectly with the needs expressed by our clients,” he remarked. “Together, we can enhance our offerings, benefiting not just our immediate stakeholders but the broader community as well.”

This announcement follows Doconomy’s successful $17 million funding round led by CommerzVentures in September 2021, recognized as the largest climate fintech investment round in Europe. With this funding, Doconomy has raised a total of $24 million since 2018.
