Eight climate-focused startups have been selected to participate in the world’s first climate-focused fintech incubator in the Nordics and Baltics.
The six-month program, organized by Zurich-based F10, will provide startups with training, mentorship, and networking opportunities aimed at securing funding.
The cohort includes two UK-based companies: GreenGrowth, which offers an app for sustainable investing, and Xworks, a SaaS data platform for waste trading. The other six startups hail from Israel, Sweden, Lithuania, Switzerland, and Canada.
This initiative kicks off on November 8, aligning with the COP27 conference in Egypt and occurring during a period of unprecedented funding for climate-focused startups. A recent study by CommerzVentures found that funding in 2021 surpassed the total amount raised in the previous three years.
Anders Norlin, head of F10 Nordics and Baltics, stated, “The variety of climate fintech solutions presented reinforces the interest for more innovative solutions in the needed transition towards a net-zero society. Furthermore, I’m very happy to see the extensive interest and support from established climate fintechs and corporates to engage in the program.”
Additionally, Finextra is set to host its fifth Sustainable Finance Live conference and hackathon on November 29. For more information and to register for the event, visit the event page here.
