AfriGIS, winners of the 2024 Sustainable Finance Live hackathon, have developed Resolve Water, a tool focused on climate and water intelligence for businesses.
The new service aims to enhance business resilience by leveraging climate and water risks. By utilizing geospatial analytics, predictive modeling, and financial metrics, it will identify growth opportunities and areas vulnerable to climate impacts, enabling businesses to assess and manage their climate risk effectively.
Resolve Water will have an in-person launch in South Africa before transitioning to an online platform in May.
AfriGIS’ team, AgriEco Hub, was recognized for its innovative presentation on using green finance to support biodiversity and sustainable agriculture, establishing connections between commercial farmers and financial institutions interested in investing in green and ESG initiatives.
