Santander and Microsoft Unveil AI Challenge

Banco Santander has partnered with Microsoft and the Oxentia Foundation to launch a global challenge aimed at entrepreneurs harnessing AI to create a positive societal impact.

Startups and scaleups from various countries—including Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, the US, Spain, Mexico, Portugal, Poland, the UK, and Uruguay—are encouraged to submit their applications by April 27.

Three winning startups will receive €10,000 each, while the top three scaleups will be awarded €30,000 each and will be invited to Silicon Valley for an awards ceremony on June 29.

Winners will also gain entry into Santander X 100, a global community for entrepreneurs offering access to vital resources such as mentorship, training, capital, customer connections, talent acquisition, and networking opportunities. Additionally, they will receive expert guidance from Microsoft to prepare their projects for presentation to M12, the company’s venture capital initiative.

Diego Calascibetta, Global Director of Entrepreneurship and Open Innovation at Santander Universities, remarked, “Through this challenge, we aim to support companies that align with our vision of AI as a transformative technology that will become integral to our lives sooner than we anticipated.”
