Santander and Amazon Launch Visa Card in Austria

Amazon and Santander have introduced a Visa credit card in Austria that offers cashback rewards for purchases made on Amazon and other websites.

This fee-free card does not require users to open a new bank account and is issued by Zinia, Grupo Santander’s consumer finance platform.

Customers earn 1% back in points for purchases on Amazon.de and 0.5% back for other transactions, while Prime members enjoy 2% back during select shopping events on Amazon.de. Additionally, Prime members can receive a sign-up bonus of up to €15, while other customers can earn up to €10.

An accompanying app allows users to track their rewards balances and redeem points at checkout on Amazon.

Ramón Billordo, head of Zinia, stated: “We continue to expand our business with Zinia, our digital consumer finance platform, and as of today, the Amazon Visa card is now available to Austrian residents. We are delighted to collaborate once again with a globally recognized brand like Amazon and to continue providing alternative banking experiences for customers’ shopping needs.”
