Samsung has partnered with Splitit to enable users of its mobile wallet to split in-store payments into instalments using their existing credit.
The feature, directly integrated into the Samsung Wallet, allows shoppers to link an eligible Mastercard or Visa credit card for instalment payments at the point of sale, all without a credit check. This service will launch this month on various Samsung Galaxy devices across approximately 20 US states, including Colorado, Illinois, and New Mexico.
Nandan Sheth, CEO of Splitit, stated, “For the first time in the US, in-store card-linked instalments are available at scale through Samsung Wallet.”
