Revolut is set to establish its new headquarters in London’s Canary Wharf, yet the fintech company remains committed to its flexible remote work policy.
While many organizations in the financial industry are advocating for a return to traditional working methods, Revolut’s founder, Nik Storonsky, has articulated a strong commitment to maintaining a hybrid work model. In a recent internal communication to employees, he emphasized, “We care more about what you do than where you do it.” He further noted that individual preferences vary: some thrive in a home office environment, while others perform better in the collaborative setting of an office with colleagues. As long as productivity remains high, the hybrid approach will remain unchanged.
However, in regions where the company is experiencing growth and where teams are smaller, there will be an increased encouragement for employees to work from the office.
This announcement coincides with Revolut’s upcoming relocation to a newly renovated building in Canary Wharf, marking a 40% increase in office space to 113,000 square feet across four floors. As a remote-first organization, Revolut plans to utilize this expanded space for various activities, including product launches, workshops, team-building events, and more.
