The Royal Bank of Canada is launching a new incubator program aimed at supporting fintech and cybersecurity startups.
The bank is collaborating with the Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst at Toronto Metropolitan University to create the RBC FinSec Incubator. This initiative will provide early-stage companies focused on financial sector security with opportunities to showcase their technologies to industry experts and potential investors, facilitate networking, and assist with procurement requirements.
Adam Evans, SVP & CISO at RBC, stated, “The RBC FinSec Incubator is strategically aligned with our mission to drive innovation and security within the broader financial services sector.”
To participate in the program, firms must have either a fintech product that requires enhanced embedded cyber and risk practices or a tech-enabled solution addressing a significant cybersecurity challenge in the financial services industry.
