Paysafe Considers Selling Itself – Bloomberg

Publicly-listed online payments firm Paysafe is contemplating a sale after attracting interest from potential buyers, as reported by Bloomberg.

Shares in Paysafe surged by more than 15% on Thursday following Bloomberg’s report that the London-based company is exploring options with the assistance of financial advisors.

In addition to the possibility of a sale, Bloomberg indicates that the company is also considering the disposal of non-core assets ahead of any transaction. Paysafe went public in late 2020 through a $9 billion merger with SPAC Foley Trasimene Acquisition Corp II. However, the firm’s market capitalization has since declined significantly, hovering around $1.4 billion as of yesterday.
