PayPal Offers Users Early Access to Perplexity AI Browser

PayPal and Venmo users in the US and other unspecified markets can now bypass the waitlist for Perplexity’s new AI-powered web browser, Comet, through a complimentary 12-month trial of Perplexity Pro, valued at $200.

Launched in July, Comet seamlessly integrates Perplexity’s AI tools into web browsing, featuring a built-in AI assistant, answer-focused search capabilities, and product comparison options.

Ryan Foutty, VP of Business at Perplexity, remarked, “The Comet browser is like a personal shopper and assistant in one, so we’re thrilled that PayPal users will gain early access.”

Diego Scotti, GM of Consumer Group at PayPal, expressed, “We’re excited to provide tools and offers that our customers want most, helping them manage their financial lives with greater ease and more rewards.”

Perplexity Pro is among the first offerings available directly through PayPal’s new subscriptions hub, designed for users to easily view and manage their recurring subscription payments. Users can sign up for the package within the PayPal app.
