NatWest has partnered with Google Cloud to enhance support for entrepreneurs within its business Accelerator program, providing them access to advanced AI tools, cloud technologies, and specialized training.
A survey conducted among 1,000 businesses across ten sectors revealed that certain ‘future fit’ companies are significantly more likely to leverage data analysis for critical decision-making. Notably, these future-oriented businesses are nearly twice as likely to have adopted AI tools compared to their counterparts.
As part of this collaboration, Google Cloud will offer practical training on AI implementation and digital marketing to the NatWest Accelerator community. This training will take place at various Accelerator hubs nationwide and will also be accessible through the NatWest Accelerator app.
Eligible startups will benefit from Google Cloud credits, enabling them to build, test, and scale their operations on Google’s infrastructure. This initiative aims to alleviate financial and technical barriers faced by businesses venturing into AI.
Additionally, Google will join forces with NatWest for the inaugural NatWest Accelerator Pitch competition, featuring a prize pool of £1 million. This competition seeks to uncover the next wave of UK innovators, with five entrepreneurs pitching their business journeys and growth strategies in Manchester. The winner will receive £70,000 to further their business, with judges evaluating participants on their business models and the potential impact of the prize.
Darren Pirie, head of the NatWest Group Accelerator, stated, “With technology evolving rapidly, we are committed to empowering our customers with the digital skills necessary for growth. By incorporating Google’s unparalleled expertise into our Accelerator, we are equipping entrepreneurs to understand AI and harness its advantages for their businesses.”
