Lilia Christofi, who previously served as Microsoft’s head of banking for the EMEA region, has joined PwC to spearhead the consulting firm’s financial services data and AI division.
Before her tenure at Microsoft, Christofi gained valuable experience at both Accenture and PwC in Australia. Upon returning to the UK, she focused on advancing AI-driven initiatives within the European banking sector.
In a recent LinkedIn announcement, she expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities to enhance the uptake of AI and data-centric strategies among financial institutions throughout the EMEA region. "This transition illustrates the increasing significance of collaboration between consulting firms and major technology companies," she stated. "With my extensive background at Microsoft, I am uniquely positioned to bridge the divide between technology and consulting, promoting more robust partnerships with our alliance partners and driving innovation."
