Microsoft has partnered with Aptos Labs to harness the capabilities of artificial intelligence and blockchain technology, aiming to facilitate the mainstream adoption of Web3.
Aptos identifies that, despite the buzz surrounding Web3, its growth has been hindered by the lengthy and intricate process required for onboarding new users. Leveraging the Microsoft Azure OpenAI service, Aptos is developing an assistant designed to provide a secure, user-friendly transition from Web2 to Web3 for everyday internet users and organizations alike.
The Aptos Assistant will allow users to effortlessly onboard into the Web3 environment by posing questions about the Aptos blockchain ecosystem in natural language. Additionally, it will serve as a resource for developers creating smart contracts and decentralized applications.
Mo Shaikh, CEO of Aptos Labs, states, “The convergence of artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies represents a significant milestone in the evolution of the internet and its impact on society. Our collaboration with Microsoft aims to make these transformative technologies more accessible to a wider audience.”
Furthermore, Microsoft and Aptos will explore collaborative initiatives in asset tokenization, payment solutions, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), further promoting the adoption of Web3 by financial service providers.
Rashmi Misra, General Manager of AI and Emerging Technologies at Microsoft, emphasizes, “Our goal is to democratize blockchain access through the integration of Aptos Labs’ technology with the capabilities of Microsoft Azure’s OpenAI service. This will enable users to smoothly transition into Web3 and empower innovators to create groundbreaking decentralized applications using AI.”
