JPMorgan Chase Appoints Teresa Heitsenrether to Head AI Initiatives

JPMorgan Chase has appointed seasoned executive Teresa Heitsenrether as its new Chief Data and Analytics Officer.

Heitsenrether, who has dedicated over 11 years to the bank, will transition from her current position as Global Head of Securities Services, a role that Tim Fitzgerald will now assume.

In her new capacity, Heitsenrether will spearhead JPMorgan’s efforts in artificial intelligence, an initiative that CEO Jamie Dimon emphasizes as “an absolute necessity.” In a memo detailing her appointment, initially reported by Bloomberg, Dimon and President Daniel Pinto highlighted the importance of utilizing AI technologies to innovate products, enhance customer engagement, boost productivity, and improve risk management.

“Teresa is an exceptional leader with a remarkable track record, instrumental in building and transforming several of our most successful divisions,” they stated.
