IBM Introduces New Digital Asset Platform

IBM has introduced a revolutionary platform designed for financial institutions, governmental bodies, and corporations to efficiently and securely manage their digital asset operations.

Digital Asset Haven serves as a centralized hub where banks and governments can oversee the entire lifecycle of digital assets—encompassing custody, transactions, and settlement. This platform is engineered to assist users in meeting compliance requirements while being readily integrable with existing systems.

In collaboration with Dfns, a provider of digital wallet infrastructure, IBM has seamlessly integrated its robust security and infrastructure with Dfns’ capabilities in digital asset custody and management.

Digital Asset Haven facilitates comprehensive transaction lifecycle management, supporting blockchain processes from automation and routing to monitoring and settlement across a network of more than 40 interconnected public and private blockchains. It also provides governance and entitlement management through a cohesive framework that governs wallet access, enforces policies, and manages transaction approvals. Users benefit from pre-integrated services for identity verification (KYC), financial crime prevention (AML), yield generation, and additional functionalities.

Tom McPherson, General Manager of IBM Z and LinuxONE, emphasized the platform’s potential: “With IBM Digital Asset Haven, our clients can confidently enter and expand within the digital asset sector, fortified by IBM’s commitment to security and reliability. This unified platform delivers the resilience and data governance our clients have requested, empowering governments and businesses to shape the future of financial services.”
