Helder Rosalino of Banco de Portugal Confirmed as Keynote Speaker for EBAday 2024

Rosalino will take the stage to open this year’s EBAday in Lisbon, Portugal, where he will discuss the roadmap for a modern and secure payments market.

As a member of the board of directors at Banco de Portugal since 2014, Rosalino oversees various areas, including markets and reserve management, monetary issuance, payment systems, information technology, accounting, financial control, and innovation management at the central bank. He also contributes insights from the European Central Bank as a member of the high-level group for the digital euro.

Rosalino has been with Banco de Portugal since 1994, holding various roles, including head of the issuance and treasury department and head of human resources, providing him with valuable perspectives on the Portuguese market.

In 2023, EBAday featured Carlos A. Sanz Luengo, head of payment systems at the Bank of Spain, who opened the two-day event. Sanz Luengo has been with the Bank of Spain since 1993, serving in multiple positions primarily focused on monetary policy and reserve management for nearly two decades.

This informative keynote will kick off the conference, which will address a variety of payment topics, including CBDCs, cross-border payments, and instant payments.
