Former Stripe Employees Introduce AI-Driven Wealth Management Platform

Technology veterans with experience at Stripe and Square have successfully raised $3.1 million to launch an AI-driven wealth management platform called Era.

Northzone led the seed funding round, with contributions from Protagonist and Designer Fun. Era aims to personalize wealth management advice and automate financial tasks to help bridge the gap between financial access and personal aspirations.

The platform was developed by CEO Alex Norcliffe and COO Lindsay Brady. Norcliffe previously served as head of design and product at Stripe and has experience at Square, while Brady is a former Stripe employee and has also worked at Google.

Era combines human advisor expertise with advanced AI capabilities to offer tailored financial advice at scale. It automates routine financial tasks such as tax estimation and money transfers between accounts. By integrating relevant market news and macroeconomic data, Era enhances its recommendations, enabling users to understand how various factors, including company earnings, labor reports, and government policies, impact their finances and portfolios.

Norcliffe emphasizes, “Finance shouldn’t be a maze that only a few can navigate. At Era, we’re reshaping the financial landscape to make expert advice attainable for everyone, regardless of their existing knowledge or bank balance.”
