Former HSBC Chief Administration Officer Chuck Teixeira has successfully secured $1.2 million in funding from angel investors for his new venture: a software startup focused on data enablement.
Based in London, WCKD RZR aims to assist multinational corporations in navigating the complexities associated with inconsistent data governance policies and authorization controls across various regions.
According to the company, when businesses seek to consolidate their data infrastructure into a single cloud or database management system, the expenses can soar into the millions. Additionally, data is often poorly labeled, difficult to locate, and subject to varying regulations.
WCKD RZR’s flagship product, Data Watchdog, is engineered to facilitate real-time data discovery, governance, and access in compliance with relevant sharing, privacy, and oversight regulations. The software integrates seamlessly into an organization’s network, allowing data to remain in its original location, and activates within minutes. It systematically scans and maps the company’s databases, employing proprietary machine learning algorithms to automatically label data for easier retrieval.
Teixeira emphasizes, “WCKD RZR’s Data Watchdog software embodies true data enablement. It empowers multinational organizations with disparate and complex data landscapes to harness the full potential of their data instantly, eliminating the need for lengthy and costly data transformation initiatives that often reach into the tens of millions and take years to complete.”
