Euroclear Partners with Greenomy to Boost Sustainable Finance Initiatives

Euroclear has announced a strategic investment in Greenomy, a sustainable finance technology platform based in Belgium.

Founded in 2020, Greenomy is dedicated to assisting corporates, credit institutions, and asset managers in navigating the evolving landscape of European Union sustainable finance regulations. The platform streamlines data capture and reporting processes, ensuring compliance while offering valuable data analytics to enhance sustainability performance. This aligns with the overarching goals of the EU Green Deal, which aims to channel investments into sustainable initiatives.

With this investment in Greenomy, Euroclear aims to integrate non-financial reporting within its network, effectively lowering the barriers to entry for sustainable finance. Furthermore, the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data generated by Greenomy will support asset managers’ reporting requirements, including the needs of Euroclear’s FundSettle, MFEX, and iETF clients.

Lieve Mostrey, CEO of Euroclear Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to fostering a sustainable marketplace through strategic investments and partnerships. She highlighted Greenomy’s strong ESG value proposition, unique market position, and comprehensive platform that seamlessly connects issuers, banks, and investors. This partnership promises to enhance the offerings of both organizations significantly.

Details regarding the financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed.
