Euroclear Enters Seven-Year Partnership with Microsoft

Euroclear has signed a seven-year partnership with Microsoft, leveraging a comprehensive range of technologies, including cloud, data, and AI.

This collaboration aims to support Euroclear’s strategic objectives in critical growth areas such as funds management and client experience, while also aligning with its long-term vision of evolving into a digital and data-driven financial market infrastructure.

Valérie Urbain, CEO of Euroclear, stated: “Technology is rapidly transforming financial market infrastructures. Embracing the latest advancements in cloud, AI, and analytics is essential to our strategy, fostering innovation, new business opportunities, and resilience. Microsoft’s leadership in technology and their understanding of financial markets make them an ideal partner as we embark on this next phase. This collaboration significantly enhances our aspirations and brings us closer to our clients.”

As part of the agreement, Euroclear will utilize a full suite of Microsoft technology, including Azure cloud, Copilot, AI, Microsoft Fabric, and Teams.

The initial focus for 2025 will be on designing and building a secure platform for data sharing and collaboration, offering AI insights to clients via Euroclear’s FundsPlace, and streamlining operations across all customer-facing divisions.

Ralph Haupter, president of EMEA at Microsoft, remarked: “Together, we are facilitating a shift from traditional sequential workflows to an ecosystem-centric model for capital markets. This transformation will enable financial institutions to rethink how they interact, analyze data, and deliver insights to end users, ultimately driving efficiency and innovation across the industry.”
