Deutsche Börse has chosen Google Cloud to serve as the foundation for a new digital asset business platform aimed at creating an institutional-grade ecosystem for crypto trading.
As part of this agreement, Google Cloud will be Deutsche Börse Group’s preferred partner for cloud services over the next decade, with a focus on accelerating the development of the exchange’s DLT-based digital securities platform, D7. This platform will leverage Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure and will incorporate an intelligent data analytics layer through Google Cloud’s BigQuery and Analytics Hub.
The collaboration also aims to enhance Deutsche Börse Group’s digital asset business by offering an institutional-grade solution, which includes a Digital Assets Business Platform featuring a cloud-native market infrastructure. This platform will integrate centralized and decentralized financial frameworks to support crypto spot and derivatives trading, with plans to expand capabilities into additional asset classes over time.
Furthermore, the two companies intend to co-develop a data mesh to address various data distribution and utilization scenarios within Deutsche Börse Group’s cloud environment.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, stated: “Our partnership with Deutsche Börse Group highlights the myriad opportunities and advantages that secure and dependable cloud technology, data analytics, and AI can provide for all market participants.”
