Danske Bank has introduced an innovative new feature within its mobile app that enables customers to gain a clear understanding of the sustainable investments within their portfolios.
A recent survey conducted by Danske Invest indicates that a significant majority of investors in Denmark are eager for a greater emphasis on sustainability in their investment choices. Previously, clients would need to meet with an investment advisor to uncover the sustainability aspects of their investments.
Anne Buchardt, head of global private banking, emphasizes, “Since the launch of this feature for our advisors, we have been diligently working to make it accessible to all customers in the comfort of their own homes. Now, insights into sustainable investing are available to everyone using our online or mobile banking services, eliminating the limitations of personal advisory sessions.”
This new feature allows users to visualize the proportion of their investments that qualify as sustainable and assess how these investments align with critical factors such as climate change, equality, human rights, and biodiversity.
The survey from Danske Invest conducted last autumn revealed that 61 percent of Nordic customers with invested assets consider sustainability to be either “important” or “very important.”
Buchardt further states, “With this new functionality, our customers are provided with an efficient and user-friendly digital solution that allows them to effortlessly monitor their sustainable investments and evaluate their performance against various sustainability metrics directly from their smartphones.”
Sustainable investments are identified based on a model developed by Danske Bank, which also provides an overview of how these investments measure up against specific sustainability criteria in relation to the overall stock market.
