Clim8 Raises £2.85 Million in Crowdfunding Campaign

Sustainable investment platform Clim8 has successfully concluded its latest crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube, raising an impressive £2.85 million from 1,800 investors.

In just the first 24 hours of the campaign, Clim8 secured over £1.26 million, surpassing its initial target of £750,000. This marks Clim8’s third crowdfunding initiative through Crowdcube, with previous rounds achieving success rates of 300% and 500%. Since its inception, the company has amassed a total of £10 million in funding over the past two years.

Launched this year, the Clim8 Invest app enables UK users to invest in publicly listed companies and funds focused on addressing the climate crisis. The app emphasizes sectors such as clean energy, clean technology, sustainable mobility, clean water, the circular economy, and sustainable food.

The newly acquired funding will support the continued development of the app and facilitate the upcoming launch of a Junior ISA and Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) in the UK. To achieve these goals, Clim8 plans to expand its team of 31 employees throughout 2021.

Duncan Grierson, founder and CEO of Clim8 Invest, noted that the app has already garnered thousands of active users, with investments ranging from £25 to £100,000.
