Gunjan Kalra will assume her new role in September 2023, reporting to Tasnim Ghiawadwala, the global head of Citi Commercial Bank (CCB), and APAC CEO Peter Babej.
Kalra has been leading corporate sales and solutions for the bank’s markets business since 2021, overseeing a team of 150 sales professionals delivering products to corporate and commercial clients. Prior to this, she was the Asia Pacific head for the corporate solutions group from 2015 to 2021.
With a career spanning two decades at Citi, Kalra has extensive knowledge of the bank’s markets operations and has held leadership positions across both Asia Pacific and Latin America. She has worked with complex businesses across various asset classes and segments.
Ghiawadwala emphasized that “Gunjan’s appointment further demonstrates the connectivity across the Institutional Clients Group. Her markets background and deep knowledge of Citi will be essential in advancing our CCB strategy and providing our Asia Pacific clients with the products and services they need to grow, address cross-border requirements, and support their global expansion.”
