Charm, an AI-driven security platform aimed at safeguarding organizations and their customers from scams, social engineering, and human-centric fraud, has recently emerged from stealth mode with $8 million in seed funding.
The funding round was spearheaded by Team8, a global venture creation firm that collaborated with Charm’s founders, cyber intelligence expert Roy Zur and former Microsoft data scientist Avichai Ben. Charm highlights that fraud tactics have progressed from system exploitation to more sophisticated forms of social engineering, with individuals often becoming the most vulnerable point in security.
To address this challenge, Charm employs AI, data analysis, and psychological insights to evaluate human vulnerability, analyze customer risk patterns, and provide customized mitigation strategies. The funding will be allocated towards recruitment, product development, and establishing strategic partnerships.
Roy Zur remarked, “Scammers are evolving at an unprecedented pace, using AI to deceive customers before traditional fraud systems can intervene. We are on a mission to break the ‘scam spell’ by leveraging AI-powered real-time interventions and psychological insights to protect users when they need it most.”
