CaixaBank’s technology division is set to recruit 500 developers in the upcoming first quarter, pushing its workforce beyond 1,600 employees.
A considerable portion of this hiring will take place in Seville, where the bank plans to expand its software development technology hub starting in February. The team in this location is expected to grow significantly, from 40 to 200 professionals.
CaixaBank Tech, which also operates offices in Barcelona and Madrid, has been actively building its team over the last two years and now boasts over 1,100 experts in technology applications for financial services. The bank aims to increase its total workforce to 2,000 employees within the next three years.
The new recruits will be expected to possess skills in various areas, including backend and frontend software development, artificial intelligence, data engineering, cloud computing, and data security.
In November, CaixaBank announced plans to invest more than $5 billion in technology over the next three years to enhance digital sales and introduce innovative products and services. This investment strategy includes the recruitment of 3,000 young talent, primarily with technical expertise, throughout the period of 2025-2027.
