Bud Utilizes Google Cloud’s Generative AI Tools to Create a Smart Chatbot

UK fintech company Bud has introduced a generative AI core and a chatbot that harnesses Google’s PaLM2 large language model to provide personalized customer insights.

The new AI logic core will enhance Bud’s current lending and affordability solutions, as well as its money management application. It will also be integrated into a novel intelligent agent designed to address customer inquiries.

Named Jas, the chatbot utilizes enriched data derived from previous consumer transactions to deliver “hyper-personalized” responses to customer questions and to recommend appropriate credit products or financial planning advice tailored to individual needs.
