Barclays Bank is set to enhance its use of Microsoft Co-Pilot AI technology by extending its deployment to 100,000 employees globally.
The integration of Microsoft 365 Copilot into the bank’s proprietary productivity platform will create a unified AI assistant for tasks such as booking travel, verifying policy compliance, and addressing HR inquiries.
Additionally, an innovative dashboard accessible via Microsoft Viva will assist employees with essential tasks, including desk bookings and leave requests, while also delivering tailored news and announcements.
Craig Bright, Barclays’ Group CIO and Deputy Group Co-Chief Operating Officer, stated, “At Barclays, we are harnessing the power of artificial intelligence and generative AI to gain deeper insights, enhance efficiency, and foster a more intuitive experience throughout the organization. The implementation of Copilot, combined with our productivity tool, marks a major advancement in streamlining our operations and facilitating task completion.”
This expansion follows a successful initial deployment of Microsoft 365 Copilot to 15,000 Barclays employees and builds upon the bank’s integration of Microsoft Teams as its chosen collaboration platform along with the rollout of Microsoft Viva Engage as its community engagement tool.
