AID:Tech, a company specializing in transparency and accountability in federal relief distribution, has announced its upcoming integration of Circle’s payment solution along with the USD Coin, a digital dollar stablecoin.
These advancements will enable AID:Tech’s platform to offer consumers quick and efficient access to funds, while also ensuring digital identity security. The collaboration with Circle will enhance AID:Tech’s blockchain capabilities, allowing them to provide vital services across various scenarios. This includes aid disbursement for natural disaster victims and partnerships with governments, charitable organizations, and civil society groups.
Jeremy Allaire, co-founder and CEO of Circle, expressed his enthusiasm: “Partnering with AID:Tech to facilitate relief payouts via USD Coin for those affected by natural disasters has been immensely rewarding. This collaboration embodies the mission we set when we founded Circle.”
Joseph Thompson, co-founder and CEO of AID:Tech, emphasized the significance of this partnership: “Our collaboration with Circle significantly enhances our ability to deliver seamless and transparent financial transactions between humanitarian organizations, merchants, and those in urgent need of funds. In times of crisis, timely support is crucial, and this partnership enables us to make a substantial impact when it matters most.”
Since becoming the first company to utilize blockchain for international aid in 2015, AID:Tech has established partnerships with numerous international organizations, including government entities, development banks, and charities, such as Women’s World Banking. Currently, AID:Tech is collaborating with St. Vincent de Paul Disaster Services to devise strategies for tackling disasters, including recent flooding on the East Coast of the United States.
Elizabeth Disco-Shearer, CEO of St. Vincent de Paul Disaster Services, stated, “Our community partners are essential in assisting those in need. After a successful pilot program with AID:Tech in Florida in 2018, we recognized the transformative potential of blockchain in enhancing our disaster services. We are grateful to partner with AID:Tech and see firsthand how innovative financial solutions can create meaningful change.”
