Banco Santander has introduced its buy now, pay later service, Zinia, in Spain, initially focusing on installment payments for Amazon purchases.
With Zinia, Amazon shoppers in Spain can defer payments between €60 and €3,000 for durations ranging from four to 40 months. The payment deferral process is straightforward and can be completed within minutes on the Amazon website. Customers need only provide their Spanish ID (DNI) or Foreign Identification Number (NIE), along with their credit or debit card details, or bank account information for direct debit transactions.
Launched in 2022, Zinia is also available in Germany and Austria, where it partners with Amazon and other affiliates to deliver consumer financing options.
Ramón Billordo, country manager of Zinia, stated: “We are excited to extend our consumer finance platform into Spain in collaboration with Amazon. Our shared goal is to provide customers with financing solutions that enhance the purchasing experience by making it simpler and more flexible. This partnership allows us to broaden our reach by working alongside leading companies like Amazon.”
