PayPal is set to create 100 new positions with the establishment of an AI and fraud data science center in Dublin.
The new team will operate from PayPal’s existing office in the city, offering roles in areas such as AI engineering, data science, software development, risk modeling, and cybersecurity.
Aaron Webster, Global Chief Risk Officer at PayPal, emphasized the significance of this expansion: “This initiative demonstrates our confidence in the local ecosystem and our goal to develop an AI-driven, data-centric future that prioritizes trust and safety in every transaction.”
The initiative receives support from the Irish Government, through IDA Ireland, its investment promotion and development agency. Peter Burke, Minister for Enterprise, Trade, and Employment, stated, “The introduction of 100 skilled positions in advanced fields like AI and data science solidifies our reputation as a global innovation hub, and I commend PayPal for its continued collaboration with IDA Ireland.”
