Revolut Names Cossa-Dumurgier as CEO of New Western European Headquarters

Revolut has appointed BNP Paribas veteran Béatrice Cossa-Dumurgier as CEO of its new Western European headquarters in Paris, spearheading its €1 billion initiative to establish a significant presence in France.

Cossa-Dumurgier will be responsible for driving Revolut’s operations in Western Europe, placing particular emphasis on obtaining the fintech’s banking license. Her career includes roles at McKinsey and the French Ministry of Finance, followed by 15 years at BNP Paribas, where she served as COO of the retail division and CEO of personal investors.

After her tenure at BNP Paribas, she transitioned to the tech sector, holding positions such as COO at carpooling platform BlaBlaCar and at digital music service Believe. She also served on the board of Société Générale before taking on her new role.

Revolut founder Nik Storonsky highlighted Cossa-Dumurgier’s extensive background in banking and her track record of driving growth as crucial for regulatory integration and local expansion.

In May, Revolut announced plans to invest over $1 billion in France over the next three years, which includes establishing the Paris headquarters and creating at least 200 jobs. With approximately 5 million customers, France is Revolut’s largest market in the EU, and the company aims to grow its user base to 10 million by the end of 2026, eventually targeting 20 million by 2030.

“I am fully committed to leveraging my expertise to build lasting trust with our customers and within the French and European banking ecosystem,” stated Cossa-Dumurgier.
