BBVA Switzerland Introduces Next-Gen Digital Investment Account

BBVA’s Swiss division is set to launch a cutting-edge digital investment account called “Next Gen,” designed to empower users to create portfolios centered on various themes, such as climate change and advanced technologies, including 3D printing. This innovative offering will also feature a cryptocurrency wallet.

The Next Gen account provides a curated selection of companies and funds organized into 11 distinct themes, encompassing areas like the circular economy and emerging technologies such as robotics and autonomous vehicles. Additionally, the platform allows clients to mirror the investment strategies of renowned figures like Warren Buffet and invest in traditional assets, including stocks and investment funds.

BBVA is confident that by emphasizing specific themes and technologies, it can engage clients passionate about fields like genetic research. “The Next Gen account enables customers to invest in a positive, conscious, and committed manner, as we believe that today’s investments will shape the future,” states Alfonso Gómez, the CEO of BBVA Switzerland.

Account holders will benefit from a comprehensive range of online banking services, including IBAN numbers in various currencies such as dollars, euros, and Swiss francs. Furthermore, the account features an integrated wallet for buying, selling, and storing Bitcoin, all accessible through the user-friendly mobile app.

To open a Next Gen account, clients must be at least 18 years old, reside in an EU country, or in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, or Chile, among other locations, and contribute a minimum deposit of $10,000.
