Green fintech company Sugi has introduced a new feature that allows users to offset the carbon footprint of their investments.
Originally launched in public beta in the UK in late 2021, the free Sugi app empowers retail investors to assess the carbon impact associated with their investment choices. With this latest update, users can now offset emissions directly related to their specific investments or their entire portfolio. Additionally, they can monitor their offsetting history for better awareness of their environmental impact.
Josh Gregory, CEO of Sugi, stated, “We understand there are legitimate reasons for investors to hold positions in higher carbon sectors. Our new offsetting feature enables them to effectively manage and rebalance their carbon impact.”
