London-based buy now, pay later firm Zilch is launching a physical card in partnership with Visa.
Zilch reports that one in seven UK working adults are already customers, with a virtual payment card stored in the firm’s app or mobile wallets. The introduction of a physical card provides added flexibility, especially for those who prefer the security of a tangible payment method.
This card will operate on Visa’s extensive global network, which encompasses over 150 million merchant locations across more than 200 countries and territories. Customers can shop anywhere Visa is accepted, both online and offline, while enjoying the same flexible repayment options.
Set to be available for existing customers starting in September, Zilch aims to encourage the 50% of active users who currently shop exclusively online to transition to offline purchasing.
Philip Belamant, CEO of Zilch, stated: “By partnering with Visa—a global leader in payments—we’ve integrated our AI-driven engine into a network that connects with over 150 million merchants worldwide. This partnership allows us to implement our ad-enabled payments technology across both digital and physical retail, providing measurable savings for consumers and margin efficiencies for merchants.”
