Visa has introduced a new suite of sustainability-oriented benefits for account issuers aimed at empowering and motivating cardholders to adopt greener practices.
Set to launch globally next year, starting in Europe, the Visa Eco Benefits package is designed to raise awareness about the environmental effects of consumer spending while promoting sustainable behaviors.
Key features of this initiative include a carbon footprint calculator developed by fintech partner ecolytiq, options for cardholders to offset their carbon emissions, educational resources, cards made from sustainable materials, opportunities for donations to environmental organizations, and rewards for eco-friendly actions.
