BBVA Revamps Mobile App with AI and a Virtual Financial Coach

BBVA has launched a revamped mobile application designed to enhance user experience through quicker response times and personalized features using artificial intelligence.

The updated app allows customers to customize their interface according to their unique financial preferences. A standout improvement includes the upgraded virtual assistant, Blue, which now provides answers in natural language.

Additionally, BBVA has introduced a new financial coaching feature within the app. This coach evaluates users’ financial circumstances—analyzing income, expenses, savings, and loans—to identify enhancement opportunities. Users can choose whether to set savings goals or expense management targets, while the coach recommends tools and strategies tailored to individual spending trends.

Other notable features of the app include easy access to digital cards and Bizum for instant transactions, reminders for upcoming payments, an array of investment fund options, and a digital piggy bank for specific savings goals.
