Finastra, in collaboration with management consulting firm SIA Partners, is inviting students to submit sustainable finance projects for a chance to win cash prizes.
As part of the Finance and Innovation for Good competition, which runs until May, participants—comprising students and recent graduates—are encouraged to develop innovative solutions aimed at promoting sustainable finance practices.
Entrants will gain access to Finastra’s open developer platform, FusionFabric.cloud, along with weekly training sessions led by nearly one hundred mentors from diverse industries.
Projects will be evaluated based on their level of completion, financial viability, and potential for innovation and disruption. Participants stand a chance to win prizes of €7,000, €5,000, and €3,000, in addition to six prizes of €1,000. There is also the opportunity for winning ideas to be implemented by partner companies such as Google Cloud and HSBC Continental Europe.
Chirine Ben Zaied, head of innovation at Finastra, commented, “The impact on society and the environment is becoming an increasingly vital factor in job selection. This competition illustrates how financial innovation can contribute positively to both people and the planet.”
