Klarna Introduces AI-Driven Personalized Shopping Feed

Klarna is expanding its offerings beyond buy now, pay later (BNPL) solutions with the introduction of an AI-driven shopping feed, a personal shopping service, and enhanced tools for retailers and content creators.

The newly launched “discovery shopping feed” leverages Klarna’s proprietary AI technology to deliver an endless array of personalized product suggestions. This feature continuously updates in real time, becoming increasingly attuned to individual user preferences as it gathers more data about their shopping habits.

Complementing this innovation is a recently introduced plugin for ChatGPT, which enables the AI assistant to provide tailored product recommendations, enhancing the shopping experience even further.

Additionally, Klarna has rolled out “Ask Klarna,” a complimentary personal shopping service that offers customers immediate access to shopping experts through chat or video calls, available within the Klarna app and on their website.

A new resale feature within the Klarna app streamlines the listing process for secondhand marketplaces by automatically filling in product details and images. Initially available in Sweden through the platform Tradera, this feature is expected to expand to other partners in various regions soon.

For retailers, Klarna has developed a self-service advertising management tool that utilizes first-party data, enabling businesses to target the appropriate audience more effectively.

Lastly, the “Creator Shops” initiative empowers creators to establish their own storefronts on Klarna, providing them with the necessary tools to create a cohesive shopping experience. These creators can recommend products from a wide selection of brands and share engaging video and photo content, further promoting their personal shops across social media platforms.
