Spanish bank BBVA has launched an innovative cloud-based system aimed at automating the management of environmental data related to its real estate assets.
In collaboration with integration partner NTT Data, BBVA has adopted Salesforce’s Net Zero Cloud to facilitate the comprehensive oversight of environmental metrics across its corporate buildings. This platform empowers the bank to track the progression of key environmental indicators not only for its headquarters but also for its network of commercial offices.
The system streamlines data entry and calculations, enabling detailed and overarching analysis of the energy consumption patterns of BBVA properties. It is designed to generate alerts on vital indicators, ensuring proactive management.
This technological advancement supports the bank’s eco-efficiency goals for 2025, which include a 10% reduction in electricity consumption per employee, a 7% cut in total energy consumption, and an 11% decrease in water and paper use, along with a 4% reduction in net waste.
