Sustainability-focused fintech company Fairown has revealed its intentions to expand into Central Europe, aiming to foster a circular economy by enabling banks and vendors to provide products as a service. The initiative will be launched in Poland in collaboration with Apple Premium Reseller Cortland and Inbank.
Fairown specializes in connecting banks and retailers, allowing them to offer subscription-based service models for products. Currently, over 50,000 consumers in Scandinavia and the Baltics benefit from their services through partnerships with well-known brands such as Apple, STIHL, and Komplett.
The company is committed to promoting sustainable practices by minimizing waste and recycling materials, thereby enhancing the longevity of products. This approach ensures that when a product is replaced, its predecessor is reintroduced into the market for further use.
The collaboration between Cortland, Inbank, and Fairown aims to support the eco-friendly initiatives of retailers and financial institutions in Poland. In this partnership, Fairown will oversee product renewals, Inbank will provide financing, and Cortland will handle sales.
Fairown’s goal is to assist large enterprises in becoming more environmentally responsible by establishing a circular economy that prioritizes reuse and recycling. Their software will monitor the lifespan of each product throughout this process.
Hendrik Roosna, CEO of Fairown, remarked, “Sustainability is at our core. We are motivated by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which align innovation in the industry with responsible consumption and production. By encouraging greener choices, we empower merchants and consumers to collaborate for a more sustainable future.”
Tomasz Rzeski, country sales manager for Inbank in Poland, noted, “Cortland SMART offers the most competitive terms for purchasing Apple smartphones currently available in the Polish market. The financing process is straightforward and transparent, resulting in significant savings for customers.”
Roosna further stated, “Our entry into the Polish market represents a crucial step in our expansion strategy. We are eager to extend the advantages of the circular economy. Feedback from our sustainable subscription model has been overwhelmingly positive from existing partners and our subscribers in the Baltics and Nordics, and we are optimistic that Polish consumers will respond similarly.”
