Fujitsu, a leader in sustainable digital transformation, has formed a strategic partnership with Palantir Technologies to enhance business transformation efforts in Japan and tackle pressing societal challenges.
This collaboration aims to leverage Palantir’s advanced artificial intelligence and data integration capabilities to address complex social issues through Fujitsu Uvance, a platform dedicated to providing global solutions for various business challenges. The initiative is set to launch its services in Japan in the fiscal year 2023, with plans for international expansion in fiscal 2024.
Furthermore, the partnership will integrate Palantir’s Foundry technology into Fujitsu Uvance, creating a cohesive data infrastructure that promotes collaboration across multiple industries. Fujitsu is particularly focusing on enhancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) processes, thereby facilitating streamlined business transformations for enterprises.
Kevin Kawasaki, the global head of business development at Palantir Technologies, expressed pride in their collaboration with Fujitsu, highlighting their joint efforts in supporting clients across a wide range of sectors in Japan—including government, manufacturing, utilities, and financial services. He noted, “We look forward to extending our AIP offerings into rapidly growing regions such as the United States, and to continuing our productive collaboration with Fujitsu’s skilled engineers.”
Yoshinami Takahashi, Senior Executive Vice President of Fujitsu’s global business solutions group and head of the Uvance Business, remarked on the close cooperation between Fujitsu and Palantir Technologies Japan. He emphasized their joint commitment to developing specialized engineers in data integration to resolve various business challenges at their source. Takahashi stated, “The combination of Palantir’s leading data integration and AI capabilities with Fujitsu’s superior computing and simulation technologies will be pivotal in advancing our objectives for sustainable transformation (SX) and digital transformation (DX), as well as promoting effective ESG management through our Fujitsu Uvance vision.”
In a recent endeavor, Fujitsu also partnered with 77 Bank to innovate and digitize branch customer services.
