Ziglu, the UK-based digital banking and cryptocurrency platform, has introduced a new feature called Crypto on Card, allowing customers to spend their cryptocurrency in real-world transactions with their Ziglu debit card.
The feature enables users to select and prioritize the order of currencies they wish to spend from, with Ziglu automatically converting the chosen cryptocurrency to GBP at the time of purchase. If the primary account balance is insufficient for the transaction, Ziglu will draw from the additional spending accounts in the order set by the user.
Compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay, Ziglu promises transparent rates and no hidden fees.
“This launch is a major step toward bringing cryptocurrency into real-life spending,” says Mark Hipperson, CEO at Ziglu. “We’re proud to offer a simple, secure way for people to use their digital assets for everyday payments, not just investment.”
Recently, Ziglu raised £5 million and signed a £10 million term sheet to fund the launch of its own stablecoin, which is expected to debut in Q2.
